Meet Brenda

Brenda is a certified math teacher and experienced homeschool mom who homeschooled her own children for 20 years. She understands both the structure of formal education and the day-to-day realities of teaching at home.
Her classroom teaching experience includes middle school math in a private school, high school math in public school, and math instruction in an alternative school. She has taught courses and support classes including Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus, Statistics, and intervention classes for students preparing for state math assessments. She has worked with students who needed stronger foundations, clearer explanations, help with current coursework, and support building confidence in math.
Before starting Pioneer Learning Studio, Brenda also served as an after-school tutor and worked with an established tutoring company. As a homeschool mom, she served on co-op boards, developed curriculum for her own family, and mentored other parents as they made decisions about curriculum, pacing, placement, and learning struggles.
That combination shapes the way she works with students and families. Brenda looks for where confusion started, explains math clearly, and helps students move forward without rushing through material they do not understand.
Pioneer Learning Studio grew out of those experiences. Brenda helps students who need clearer math instruction and supports parents who are trying to make wise decisions about curriculum, pacing, learning concerns, and next steps.
