Tuition & Payments
Initial or occasional private math sessions are invoiced in advance and payment is due upon receipt. A session time is reserved once payment has been received.
Regular private students are billed monthly in advance for the actual sessions reserved during that month. Invoices are generally sent during the final week of the preceding month and are due upon receipt. Families beginning mid-month are invoiced only for the remaining scheduled sessions in that month.
Payments are processed through Square. Credit/debit card and ACH bank transfer are accepted. Future sessions may be paused and a recurring time may be released while an invoice remains unpaid.
Parent consultations and assessments are paid in advance. Workshop payment and refund terms are provided with each registration.
Cancellations & Make-Up Sessions
Payment reserves scheduled teaching time. Sessions cancelled with at least 24 hours’ notice may be rescheduled when my schedule allows. I will make a reasonable effort to find a make-up time, but make-up sessions are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
Missed sessions, no-shows, or cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged as completed sessions and are not eligible for a make-up.
Make-up sessions do not accumulate indefinitely. When a timely cancellation is rescheduled, the make-up should generally occur within 30 days of the original session.
If Pioneer Learning Studio must cancel a session, the family will be offered a rescheduled session or a credit. I may use reasonable discretion for illness, emergencies, or unusual circumstances.
Attendance & Punctuality
Students are expected to arrive on time. If a student is late, the session will still end at the scheduled time so the next student can begin promptly. Consistent attendance helps students maintain steady progress and gives us the best chance to address skill gaps effectively.
Studio Conduct
Pioneer Learning Studio is a calm and focused environment. Students are expected to come prepared with needed materials and to participate respectfully. My goal is to create a setting where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and working through challenges.
Materials & Preparation
Students should come to each session with the materials needed for instruction, such as their current math book, notebook, assignments, calculator, or login information for any online curriculum or school platform.
For private math teaching, I may provide supplemental practice or instructional materials as needed to support specific skill goals.
For homeschool support, families should provide information about the curriculum they are using, the student’s current placement, and any areas of concern. Parents are responsible for purchasing any curriculum, books, or supplies unless otherwise agreed upon.
For online sessions, students should have a quiet place to work, a working device, internet access, and needed materials ready before the session begins.
